COGNISION^® System

The COGNISION® System is an FDA-cleared ERP/EEG-based cognitive assessment device designed for in-office use. It records brain responses and EEG activity to provide objective data related to attention, working memory, and cognitive processing.

The COGNISION® System is used to support the evaluation and monitoring of cognitive decline, including mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and other conditions where objective brain function data may help inform clinical decision-making. It may also be used in concussion-related evaluation depending on the clinical setting and physician judgment.

A full COGNISION® System session typically takes about an hour from start to finish, including headset setup and testing. Results are available immediately after completion.

Yes. The COGNISION® System has FDA 510(k) clearance for acquiring, displaying, and storing EEG and ERP data to aid in cognitive assessment.

All testing performed with the COGNISION® System is covered by Medicare. Coverage and reimbursement should still be confirmed by your billing team based on documentation, payer policies, and local requirements.

Depending on the scope of the assessment and physician documentation, commonly referenced codes may include 92552, 95816,92652, and 95957. Final code selection and payer coverage should be confirmed internally before publication.
